Lab Points
A large part of the lab grade is derived from lab points.
Lab points are earned from activities or assignments assigned throughout the semester.
For Each Lab Period
- 1 lab point for coming on time (within 5 minutes of period starting) and staying/working for 1¾ hours.
- 1 lab point for bringing your lab notebook
- Lab points for prelabs and lab reports
Prelabs

Prelabs must be handed in before or at the beginning of your lab period on separate paper (not in your notebook, submit answers with your name, student number and lab section through the mail slot by the Physics Lab entrance). Attendance of the lab period is required to receive lab points for the prelab questions. You will find the prelab questions with each lab on the web.
Lab Reports
Lab points are earned for completing lab report assignments. These will typically ask questions about the experiment done or ask you to calculate and compare results from the experiment. Lab reports must be handed in at the end of your lab period either on separate paper or in your notebook, submit answers with your name, student number and lab section. Attendance of the lab period is required to receive lab points for the lab report questions. You will find the lab report assignments with each lab on the web.
